Shopping.com, the online comparison shopping site owned by eBay, has appointed First Rate to manage its search engine optimisation (SEO).
The win, which follows a competitive pitch against a number of undisclosed agencies, will see the online marketing agency become the exclusive SEO agency from this month.
Shopping.com country manager Adam Canter said: "Shopping.com's key objective is to enable consumers everywhere to use the power of information to find, compare and buy anything."
"First Rate's extensive experience in working with other leading consumer sites was a key driver in our decision," he said.
First Rate Head of Marketing & Business Development, Tom Skotidas said Shopping.com is one of the fastest growing online shopping destinations.
"Our total focus will be on Shopping.com maintaining and growing its natural traffic, and dominating its key product categories," Skotidas said.
Shopping.com is an online price comparison site which operates in the USA, UK, France, Germany and Australia. It is part of the eBay group of companies.
Shopping.com is the latest win for First Rate, which has recently won the SEC account for online retail and auction site GraysOnline and the search engine marketing account for financial derivative provider IG Markets.
